This was probably the easiest challenge for me because I am trying to constantly meet new people and get involved. This was great because this is the begining of the semester and there are new people in all of my classes.
Last night I meet a girl named Lynsie. She was really nice and I found out a lot about her. She grew up in North Ogden and wants to study to become an Athletic Cordinator. Currently she is on the WSU track team and is also studing cosmotology. She goes to school in the morning, than track practice and finishes her day at the Ogden ATC. She doesn't get home until 10 o'clock at night
In one of my Political Science classes there is a kid named Sean. It's pretty funny because Sean and I have two Weber State Classes and an institute class together. He is from Roy, I really felt sorry for him, and as it turns out I know a lot of people from his family. I grew up in his grandparents neighborhood and I flirted and swam with his cousin in High school.
I met a girl Angela on Tuesday during a committee meeting at 6:30 in the morning. She is the Vice presedent for Events here on Weber and she still leaves at home. It is not unusual for here to get dirty when she is working and we spent about 40 minutes together painting the side walks with chalk advertising some campus events. The majority of her classes are in the Lynn Lecture Hall but she wants to study Athletic training.
Today I met with Melissa, she is an English major. She has been taking several upper division englsh classes during the years but had just recently taken English 2010. She got a B in the class because she didn't care about the discussion and because it was online. She really enjoys literature and hopes to teach
I also met Melissa's sister Jessica. She is a lot more quite than her sister but she was still fun. She is currently taking a photography class and she bought her camera at DI for about $120. They both live in the Brentwood Aprt. which where they pay about $275 a piece. Currently they are from Clearfield and have been there for 8 years but while growing up there where accustomed to move every 4 years.
I really do enjoy meeting people but I have to talk to them for a while in order to remember their name. Before I served my LDS mission it was diffiicult for me to talk to random people but I learned that all you have to do is get them to talk about themselves. If ever there is an ackward moment answer your own questions so that they don't feel as though you are interigatting them. It is amamzing what you will learn.

Journal Aug. 30
I am excited about participating in this leadership course because it will give me the opportunity to meet everyone. I feel like the ditzy high school drama queen when I say that but it is true. Last spring semester I participated in a leadership course called "Lessons in Leadership and Civil Responciblities" and I believe that the best thing that I got were the friendships that were made. This course will be requiring more participation but I know that it will only help us. This will be my third year at Weber State durning the summer I had much time to reflect on what I wanted from my University Expierence. I have set many goals and have decided to partcipate as much as possible on campus.
